Ministry Strives for Improved Efficiency and Effectiveness in 2024-2025 Financial Year

The Ministry of Forestry successfully concluded its two-day Annual Operational Plan (AOP) workshop for the 2024-2025 fiscal year on Friday, laying out detailed strategies and work plans for the upcoming financial period.

Apisai Rinamalo, the Acting Executive Director of Operations and Services, said during the workshop, various divisions, including both specialized and operations units, collaborated to develop comprehensive strategies, work plans, timelines for activities and budget utilization. These efforts have resulted in clear and actionable pathways for the new fiscal year.

"We can see clear pathways for the new financial year," Mr. Rinamalo said.
He added that the teams were advised on proactive approaches so that they can try to utilize and implement more in the first and second quarters of the new fiscal year, especially the capital projects.

Ms. Sanjana Lal, the Acting Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Forestry, reiterated the importance of commitment and dedication from the staff to enhance service delivery. She stressed the necessity of providing better services to the general public and communities across Fiji.

The Ministry is now poised to move forward with its well-defined plans, aiming for improved efficiency and effectiveness in its operations for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.
